Cortège

The House

Cortège is a quiet house,
with global presence.

What follows is an account of how we move, and why.

I. Origin

We began with a single observation.

That across every city in the world, the experience of being driven had become inconsistent. A principal could be met in Geneva by a chauffeur of impeccable bearing, and in Singapore by an operator who arrived late, in an unfamiliar car, with the wrong name on a placard. Cortège was founded to remove this asymmetry — and to restore, in every city, the older standard of considered movement.

II. Philosophy

Five principles, held without exception.

01

Consistency over locality.

A client in Tokyo should receive the same standard as a client in Geneva. The local team is the means; the standard is the constant.

02

Discretion as default.

We do not speak of our clients. We do not photograph our vehicles. We do not list, advertise, or celebrate the names we serve.

03

Salaried chauffeurs.

Every chauffeur is an employee, not a contractor. We believe service of this register cannot be rented by the hour.

04

One point of contact.

Wherever a client travels, the same private client desk responds. There is never a new account, a new portal, a new explanation.

05

Time, returned.

The point of Cortège is not the journey. The point is what the client may now do with the time the journey would have cost.

III. A Note

Cortège exists for those who have come to expect more from the world, and who find — quietly, and often — that the world has not arranged itself accordingly. We mean to arrange the part of it we can.

IV. The Standard

The car is the instrument.
The chauffeur is the standard.

01

Vetted, salaried chauffeurs.

Background-checked, continuously re-vetted, trained in protocol and protective driving. Salaried — never contracted.

02

A single fleet standard worldwide.

Recent-model S-Class, Maybach, Range Rover, V-Class, Cadillac Escalade. Inspected before every journey, configured to your preferences before arrival.

03

One point of contact.

Wherever you land, the same private client desk answers. No new account, no new portal, no new explanation.

04

Discretion as default.

NDAs available. Names never spoken aloud. They will remember your preferences. They will not remember your business.

V. Testimony

Spoken quietly,
by those we have served.

Names withheld, as a matter of discipline.

We have travelled with Cortège in twelve cities over four years. There has not been a single occasion on which we needed to repeat ourselves.

— Family principal, London

The ease with which our movements between Geneva, Davos and Paris are arranged is, frankly, the only ease in our January.

— Chief of Staff, Family Office

They remembered our preferences before we did.

— Hotel Concierge, Tokyo

Cortège is the only car service I no longer need to think about.

— Managing Partner, New York

VI. Standards

Our protocol, in writing.

For those who wish to read further, we have committed our complete standard of service to a printed document. It is sent privately, on request, to clients and to those considering our partnership.
